Our Story
Although we attended church together for a few years after we first met, neither of us considered each other someone that we might love someday. But then, in 2013, the young adults group at our church stayed up late one night watching a movie and sharing life stories. After Laura heard Jared share, she stopped to notice his tender heart for the first time. Laura found out later on that Jared had started to notice her in a different light, even before that, as she loved on kids in the children’s ministry at church. And then, on Jared’s birthday, November 12 in 2013, Jared took Laura out for the first time to an Amos Lee concert in Indianapolis.
Little did we know what God had in store for our future. Both of us continued to seek God and grew in friendship with one another. And, that friendship become deeper as we served and sought God together side by side. Then, Jared asked Laura to be his girlfriend on June 2, 2015 and as they say, the rest is history.
Over the years we’ve been through good times and hard times but we’ve always come out closer on the other side both to one another and to God. We hope to continue to follow Him as a married couple and we are so excited and looking forward to a wonderful Christ-centered future together.
